[Jan 01, 2026 04:59] new Mission 2 - deliver supplies (medical) to old bramble ruins - Priority/urgent Quest - 8 Gold + hazard bonus - goblins/hobgoblins - crate of medical supplies provided - on the 5th level of the ruins. goblins love chokepoints. =b2= path of dead goblins; nothing important in area =b3= many dead goblins blockaded goblin tunnel - on both ends - with wood and mud. smoked goblins => on ascent, group notices missing goblin bodies =b4= Drakthul mentioned as a Goblin King from final goblin before death. => as we ascend, we notice missing goblin bodies =B5= Learn of war between 3 clans of Goblins -- Ashfang Tribe with leader, Drakthul - the True Goblin King - Doomhammer (from whom Grashnak serves under) - [strength on par with Gar]. Described as "massive" by other goblins and a threat to most adventurers descending. No confirmed sighting from mercs in area. Drakthul is on B10 via mercs and other goblins he is fighting are worse than Drakthul. Competing Goblin Kings aren't necessarily "goblins" - just strong leaders. Scariest Goblin King is Xarixa the Silkmother [below Drakthul in depth] - mutating goblins into spider-goblin halfbreeds. Other Goblin King is Thaleth the Veilbreaker [below Xarixa even farther], sort of elven features - an illusionist. Mercs set up camp in open spot for vision. Mention that they cleared many goblins on floor 4 where we found no goblin corpses but had to dispatch goblins of our own. Followup - Given item wrapped in cloth by one of the researchers to give to the mayor of Bramblewick; leader of mercenaries also hands letter to give to Captain Salt requesting more assistance upon receiving knowledge of our encounter with goblins. Can mention to captain salt to add torches to the supplies moving forward => gave item to Mayor and relayed information to gar/salt ==>Received 8 gold and a vial of a green liquid. the liquid [Prototype Elixir] is from the researchers - it will give whoever drinks it a resistance to piercing damage and a bonus against fear effects with a setback of a green glow for 1 hour. [Jan 01, 2026 05:12] Silan Mossveil - guild scryer - can talk to him to potentially create waypoints in the bramblewick ruins (and elsewhere?) => brought Mossveil to floor 5 of ruins - created a waypoint, encountered Fineon and Kylera. On the way, Mercenaries at the top of Old Bramble Ruins were missing. On floor 5, there were many dead goblins and some dead mercenaries with Fineon having dispatched most of them with his power of shittalking. Upon query, Fineon mentions that he also encountered Grashnak but easily sent him back into the shadows (similar to previous fleeing). With our extra strong comrades available, we decided to revisit the soft spot in the wall to potentially tunnel into it. We dig into the soft wall (via tunneling) and find a 200m deep rock tunnel with makeshift climbing pitons. We also decide that it is not in our best interest to delve into the hole at this time, noting the lack of necessary rope length to reach the bottom. Mossveil creates the waypoint to the 5th level of the Old Bramble Ruins. Fineon, Kylera, Mossveil, Researchers, and the Mercenaries elect to port out and leave the camp [Jan 01, 2026 05:12] new Mission 1 - Capture/kill Gryphon - 12 gold + extra for capture - Territorial/aggressive; gryphon are not usually hostile - protective of youngling/eggs, normally endemic to cloudlace archipelago instead of whispering glade. Thomas in bar with sling around arm. guards at old bramble ruins mentioned hearing loud bird screeches the past few days When nearing the Whispering Glade, we hear a shrieking sound - perhaps like a big bird. The Gryphon is aggressively flying around the woods, toying with any creatures that it notices. Try to stealth through the forest that the Gryphon is stalking. Ryse provokes the Gryphon, prompting the rest of us to search for whatever is concerning the Gryphon. Searching the vicinity, we found a dead Gryphon Rider's body with a crushed neck and found the totem used for telepathic communication with the Gryphon. We pick up the body and took it to the clearing. After getting the attention of the Gryphon, we were able to communicate with it and it agreed to meet with a townsperson. Upon arrival at the guildhall, we talk to Gar and he agrees to meet with the Gryphon but the mayor is out of town. Gar meets with Gryphon and agrees to discuss it with Captain Salt and the mayor when she returns. --Received 12 gold total and a Gladewing Plume as a reward for not killing the Gryphon. Once per day, the Gladewing Plume can be activated for 1 minute and you are as light as a feather [and all that accompanies being light as a feather contains]. As a passive effect, you are a trusted member of the Glade and have a minor advantage to handling birds or winged beasts. [Jan 01, 2026 06:04] After waking up, it is discovered that Ryse has an eye mark that flashes pink when attacked with a Soul-based attack/weapon. The eye flashes (to the person) when each of us glance at it the first time, possibly prompting a meeting with the Titan when sleeping next. [Jan 08, 2026 03:31] new Mission 3 - escort blacksmith (dorn heavystride) to cobbler's farm - 4 gold + 6 gold if rumored sea serpent is slain or warded off. => Requested information from local Water Mage in the Guild, he describes there being 3 different types of Sea Serpents - Azure, Crimson, Emerald- Azure - Uses a ranged area water attack Crimson - scalding water spray instead of normal water Emerald - DANGER - largest sea serpents; toxic with venomous bite, larger area of effect hydro blast (poison) than Azure -> note - river around bridge not large enough to accommodate Emerald Sea Serpent, very likely to be Azure Sea Serpent As soon as the group of us move onto the bridge, a blue serpent head bursts out of the water. it immediately shoots a ball of water out of its mouth The snake is slain and drawn out onto the land and then back to the blacksmith's shop. Dorn makes it to Millie Cobbler's without any issue. The Sea Serpent draws many eyeballs as it is dragged through town. => Reward is 10 gold pieces total. Stainaz awakens with a new mark on his hand, same as Ryse. Baku also awakens having a dream with Ysaela, but he does not accept the deal. [Jan 15, 2026 05:04] We discover the red marked goblin and it transforms into a spider-like appearance, quickly dispatched but it explodes on us and webs everyone within a 10ft range. We descend into cavern and find a hole with more spidergoblins in it and decide to chase after them and kill them as well. We discovered various animal and human corpses inside the cavern, but nothing of note other than a large chasm. [Feb 11, 2026 05:33] When we return to the guild, we hand over the Gobspider body to Branwick Coppervein, the guild medic. We report to Captain Salt about the Gobspiders and relay the previous information about Xarixa and other Goblin Kings. We rank up to Carnelian from Onyx and the colors of our guild crystals change to reflect the upgrade; we are currently rank 22. After waking up the next day while we are eating in the tavern, there is a loud explosion at the mayor's house. We quickly mobilize with Gar and approach the house to find 4 shadowy figures trying to take the magical stones from the mayor's house. With Salt, Tilda, and Gar, we dispatch the shadowy figures and keep the elf woman alive for questioning. The elf woman bites off her tongue but Ryse forcefully re-attaches the tongue and gags her mouth with more rope. Gar brings the elf woman back to the guild to talk with Lyra and/or Silan to perhaps find a way of obtaining the information telepathically. Silan uses a crystal ball to peer into her mind but only sees a shadowy mist. Baku uses his nullify magic on the half-mask of the elf woman and it falls off immediately. The elf woman begins sobbing. The Veilbound - a cult that claims to worship Ysaela. The cult believes that Ysaela was trying to guide the world in some way. The cells are scattered but there is a temple, the elf cannot remember anything specific. Creatures with a full mask are reanimated from death while half-mask creatures are otherwise living. Living people do not get branded. She is from Alacain and worked for one of the universities in the region and was attacked at an outpost island outside of Fulios; the island is used to investigate the dead continent. Silan was able to confirm the information provided by the elf woman through his crystal ball. [Feb 27, 2026 03:00] We complete Quest 7 - rescue a noble's child from collapsed ruin. likely imps that were the culprits. auravale noble's child was kidnapped by imps, perhaps due to some meddling with the demons. the ruins are to the north at the border of cloudlace archipelago and the main continent. Due to some unforseen circumstances with the stagecoach driver, we all load up on Ryse instead and he carries us at a brisk pace of 100 km/h. We make it to the ruins in 30 minutes. Renji does some investigation and determines that the ruins are previously a church. It is a church to Melafina. Find a doorframe with rubble but a small hole. Stainaz clears the rubble with his digging abilities. When we enter the newly formed hole, we hear some maniacle laughter and what sounds to be a kid crying. We approach another door that opens up to a large room with a balcony. The child is in a restrictive cage with no door in the room. Cannot see anything else in the room but hear the laughing. According to Renji and Baku, there are some types of invisible Imps with the assumption that they are Gutter Imps. Failed rituals will make them appear and they will take the smallest person to perform rituals as a sacrifice. They tend to just stay invisible but will drop their invisibility if something/someone impresses them. We sentai up on Ryse's shoulder and jump into the room, impressing 1 of the imps as they appear out of the shadows from invisibility. The cage begins to glow. Baku casts dispel on the cage and the cage stops glowing. A bolt of electricity shoots off the cage and hits Baku for 15 points of damage, the imps laugh again and disappear. Stainaz throws dirt at the position where the imps were originally located, but hit nothing. The imps laughed from different areas in the room. After much flailing the mud, we finally impress the Imps with juggling and 5 of them appear and the cage disappears from around the kid. We take the kid back to town in the same way we traveled out there. We return the child to the guild and he will get sent back to Auravale. We are given 13 gold total and a small medal that can be clipped on a lapel. It is an Imp medal that gives advantage to Intimidation or Performance check per day. [Mar 04, 2026 04:04] Completed quest 5 - retrive moonwind lyre - relic instrument that was "borrowed" by fey creatures. The instrument belongs to a member of the guild and she put in a personal request to retrieve it. Ryse buys a Lute from the general store with the idea of swapping the Lute for the Lyre. We Voltron up and go to the Whispering Glade. We hear strumming and then we talk bigly about the Lute to attract the attention of the Fey. We stumble upon a Satyr with the lyre with a group of pixies. The Satyr agreed to a musical duel being judged by a local Druid of the Glade. During the duel, the powers of Ysaela provide divine intervention and give enough boost to the performance to match the Satyr. After the performance, the Druid's rating of the performance edged in the favor of Stainaz because of the size difference of the Lute and the Ogre playing said Lute. For winning the competition, we recieve the lyre but we decide to give the lute to the Satyr as a gift of rivalry. The Satyr gives each of us a Wooden Coin via the pixies. The token will allow the player to reroll a failed charisma check once. We return to the guild and earn 18 gold coins, 10 of which is returned to comp the cost of the Lute. Advanced Quest 1 - defend red spire post - draconic creatures. frontier watchspire noticed large creature. located on the northern tip of Bramblewick County in the forest. Reports of Drakes and Wyverns flying around; requesting assistance in dealing with the creatures. It is a 30 ft tall stone watchtower with a thatch roof that outlooks the sky as if it was a lighthouse. The guards at the watchtower mention that there are multiple drakes and a wyvern that buzz by the tower frequently. We dispatch 2 of the 3 drakes, 1 flies away. After dispatching the drakes, a Wyvern and 2 Drakes begin their approach. [Mar 20, 2026 02:53] The Drake and Wyverns were dispatched but the thatch roof was damaged due to a breath attack from the drake. Received 20 Gold pieces, missing any bonus due to the damage to the building. Received 200 gold pieces for selling the bodies of the drakes. Received 600 gold pieces for selling the wyvern tail with the poison gland to the alchemist in town. [Apr 01, 2026 04:13] By interrogating the Hobgoblin after dispatching the rest of the goblin miners, we learn that Grashnak is a couple of floors down while Drakthul is farther down. Grashnak wanted machine (which is Illanian technology) dug up and taken lower to Drakthul. Xarixa is noted as cowardly. Each leader has own sections within the ruins, Xarixa can teleport around with her "creepy-crawlies." We recruit the hobgoblin and he is named Krell. Ryse and Stainaz dig out the machine and bring it back to town by walking, not teleporting because it is too big. We introduce Krell to the mayor and show her the machine. According to the mayor, it appears to be an aetheric heart engine used by the empire. It draws in aether from the surrouding envinroment and converts it into power. We decide to keep the engine and learn from Krell that the research team was taken by Grashnak; the research team originally discovered the engine. We hide the engine in the mayor's backyard by digging up a spot and making it as inconspicuous as possible. Our next objective is to rescue the research team.
